How to Use Sync All

Modified on Mon, 17 Nov at 3:05 PM

The Sync All function in Orion lets you refresh every product in your catalogue with one click.
It is designed for occasional use when you need to reset or re-align all products, especially after bulk changes in Epos Now.

What Does “Sync All” Actually Do?

Sync All sends a single event to Orion that tells it to re-sync every active product for your store.

For each product, Orion will perform a full pass:

  • Fetch the latest product data from Epos Now

  • Check & update the product record in Orion

  • Attempt to link the product (barcode → SKU)

  • Update stock on Wix (if linked)

  • Update price on Wix (if linked)

  • Handle any errors safely

Every product is processed individually, ensuring no duplicates and no missed updates.

Where to Find the Sync All Button

  • Log in to your Orion dashboard

  • Go to My Products

  • Click the Sync All button at the top of the page

The button will show a confirmation before starting, to avoid accidental syncs.

How Often Can I Use Sync All?

To protect performance (both yours and other merchants), Sync All can be used:

Once every 24 hours

This prevents unnecessary strain and keeps your product catalogue healthy.

Note: Your real-time sync continues normally regardless — Sync All is only for bulk refreshes.

What You’ll See During a Sync All

As the sync runs, you'll see updates in:

  • Notifications → confirmation of stock/price/product updates

  • My Products → products update individually as they complete

  • Dashboard → overall system health remains unaffected

  • Job Progress → internal tracking that ensures every product is counted

Orion processes thousands of products in parallel, but still guarantees safe ordering and no duplicates.

How Long Does Sync All Take?

Typical ranges based on catalogue size:

Number of ProductsExpected Sync Duration
1–500~1–3 minutes
500–2,000~3–8 minutes
2,000–5,000~8–18 minutes
5,000–10,000~20–35 minutes

Times vary depending on:

  • Epos Now response time

  • Wix API load

  • Your catalogue size

Even the largest stores complete safely without timing out.

What Happens After Sync All Finishes?

When Orion completes a full sync:

  • Your product data is fully refreshed

  • Your stock and prices are aligned with Wix

  • You receive a Batch Sync notification to your dashboard

When Should You Use Sync All?

You may want to run Sync All if you have:

  • Bulk changes in Epos Now (new barcodes, updated prices, stock adjustments)

  • Migrated from Legacy to Orion

  • Imported products into Epos

  • Linked many products in Wix at once

  • Corrected barcodes/SKUs

Or if you simply want to ensure your entire catalogue is fresh.

When You Don’t Need To Use Sync All

You can skip Sync All in most cases because Orion handles everything automatically:

  • Stock changes sync instantly

  • Price changes sync instantly

  • Product updates sync instantly

Sync All is only for full-catalogue refreshes — not daily operation.
