Understanding Notifications in Orion

Orion includes a powerful notification system designed to keep you fully informed about what’s happening inside your integration.

Every time a product is synced, linked, updated or processed, Orion creates a clear, human-readable notification so you always know what changed and why.


Where Do I See My Notifications?

You can view your notifications inside your Orion dashboard:

  • Unread notifications appear at the top

Notifications also appear instantly while you are using Orion.


What Types of Notifications Will I See?

Orion displays messages based on real sync activity. Below is a simple explanation of each message you may see — written in the exact way the user sees them.


? Product Sync Notifications

These appear whenever Orion processes an update for a product.

“A sync for the product <Name> was processed”

This means Orion received a real-time event and successfully synced:

  • Price

  • Stock

  • Product details

  • Linking status

You may also see “Actions Completed: Updated, Stock Synced, Linked” depending on what happened.


? Stock Updates

“Stock Level for <Product> was changed to X and Wix updated to Y”

Orion updated your stock from Epos Now to Wix in real-time.


? Price Updates

“Your product <Name> price was successfully updated”

Orion synced the sale price and recommended retail price to Wix.


? Linking Notifications

“Your product <Name> was successfully linked to <Wix Product>”

This means Orion found a matching item in Wix (via barcode or SKU) and connected them.

Once linked:

  • Stock updates become automatic

  • Price updates become automatic


? Product Created or Updated in Epos

When a product is inserted or updated in Epos Now, you may see:

  • “New Epos Now product <Name> has been added”

  • “Product was updated and a link check has been requested”

  • “Product was updated and a price sync has been requested”

  • “Product has been successfully updated”

These messages confirm Orion detected changes and queued the correct actions.


? Order Notifications

“Wix Order #XXXX was processed successfully into Epos Now”

This means your Wix order was imported into Epos Now, including:

  • Transaction ID

  • Total order value

Clicking the notification opens the order viewer.


? Full Sync Notifications (Sync All)

“Your full product sync is complete”

Shown after running Sync All, it tells you:

  • How many products were processed

  • How many completed successfully

Orion automatically clears the internal job data once completed.


How Long Are Notifications Kept?

Notifications stay available for 30 days.
After that, they are automatically removed.

They can also be removed by the user when pressing "Read All"


What If Something Failed?

If Orion can’t sync a product because of:

  • Wix rate limits

  • Missing product links

  • Epos Now delays

Orion logs the exact issue and continues safely.
Nothing breaks — you simply see the latest successful state.
